Purpose of Namsong International Art Fair > The Festival will be an opportunity to fathom the true nature of high-quality formative arts by exhibiting artworks of potential young artists in Seongnam Arts Center Gallery which has been a center of regional culture and art. The festival is intended to vitalize an art market in a place of 1 million population (Gangnam, Bundang, Pangyo) in the metropolitan area where many high-end art collectors reside. > > 2. Features of the Art Fair > As a prominent and representative art festival of Gyeonggido, the festival will exhibit 900 art works of nearly 100 Korean and foreign artists. It will also hold various events such as Booth Invitation Exhibition, Special Artist Exhibition, exhibitions of affordable artworks worth less than 1 million won, artists copying for children, gifts offered to visitors by lottery every day and meeting with artists and their stories. It plans to award Grand prix, Special prize and Good Artist Prize to booth artists. Award-winning artists will hold invitational exhibition in Namsong Gallery. Of the winners, 15 artists will be selected for overseas exchange exhibitions such as Salon D`automne, Paris 15 District Invitational exhibition, China Art Fair, Beijing Invitational Exhibition, and others every year. > Art Festival Picturebooks will be produced. > > 3. Marketing and promotion > ○ Running full-page advertisements in nationwide art magazines such as ‘MisulSegye’, `Seoul Art Guide`, `Misool Sidae`, and `Art in Culture`, and ads and promotional news coverage in local newspapers such as SeongNam Ilbo and News Leader > ○ Running commercials and ads in prime time zones with Areum Broadcasting Network which is a CATV in the southern area of Seoul and Bundang for one month before and after the festival. > ○ Sending informational leaflets by mail to residents including visitors of the past year. > ○ Hanging placards on main streets in Bundang and Pangyo to attract civilian interests > > 4. The center consists of four buildings. Opera House with 1804 seats is a place for large-scale performances such as operas, ballet performances, musicals, and concerts. Gallery Main Building and Annex are designed for exhibitions and is divided into the main building underground the front yard and the annex on 1st floor of the Ensemble Theater Building.
